ELECTRIFICATION – MARKETS AND SCHOOLS

– The electrification of market centres and schools has been a priority to these facilities as it is a boost to the main activities since it gives more time for the small scale trade activities and extended learning / studying time for schools. The provision of electrification has been made possible through erection of solar flood lights, solar light installation in learning institutions and payment of electricity connection fees. Solar flood lights have been erected in the following centres Otochogo, Ongeng’, Kalamindi, Gaena, Kobodo, Lwanda, Aora chuodho, Sikwadhi, Ombo, Maram among others; while Koga, Ober, Radienya and Ojode nyasodedi primary schools have benefited from solar lights.
